About us
We dream of a world where every young person and woman has the knowledge, resources, and support to unlock their full potential for a just, fairer and greener future.
Talent is everywhere, opportunity is not
We aspire to transform “Talent is everywhere, opportunity is not” into a world where talent and opportunity unite to create lasting change.
We set out on a mission to empower the youth and women of our nation. We firmly believe that a brighter, more prosperous future hinges on nurturing their untapped potential through education, skills, and opportunities. Our aim is to help them not only thrive and succeed but also to create lasting, positive impacts in their communities and the world. Recognizing the magnitude of our mission, we remain resolute in our commitment to stay at the forefront of knowledge and best practices. Data, research, and innovation serve as the driving force behind our programs and initiatives. We are in a perpetual quest for novel and effective methods to create a profound and enduring impact in the lives of our youth and the community as a whole.
Our Vision
Our vision strives to break down the barriers that hinder growth and potential of youth, helping them thrive, succeed, and in the process, make lasting, positive impacts on their communities and the world at large.
In today’s world, opportunities are not distributed equally, and this stark inequality is a barrier to achieving a brighter and more prosperous future for all. Our vision is not just an ideal; it’s a mission-critical imperative.
When young people and women are given the chance to access knowledge, vital resources, and comprehensive support, they become agents of positive transformation. Our vision strives to break down the barriers that hinder their growth and potential, helping them thrive, succeed, and in the process, make lasting, positive impacts on their communities and the world at large.
This vision is our driving force because it recognizes the urgent need for equity and empowerment. It fuels our commitment to dismantle the barriers that deny millions of individuals the opportunities they deserve. We envision a world where no one is left behind, and this vision propels us to tirelessly work towards a more just, fairer, and greener future, where the untapped potential of every young person and woman is fully realized.
Our Story
In 2008, Abdul Muyeed Chowdhury, a visionary leader, laid the cornerstone for the Bangladesh Youth Enterprise Advice and Helpcentre (BYEAH). Driven by a deep-seated commitment to transforming the future for the youth and women of our nation, we embarked on a journey to revolutionize the traditional approach to poverty alleviation. Our founding belief was simple yet powerful: entrepreneurship could be the catalyst for a world where every individual, regardless of their background, could thrive with dignity.
Our mission was clear—to deploy a holistic, personalized, and mentor-led approach that would address the enduring challenge of poverty in Bangladesh. We recognized that lasting change required more than just traditional solutions; it demanded a new paradigm.
Our journey began with the audacious idea that knowledge, skills, and opportunities held the key to unlocking untapped potential within individuals. We aimed to empower our beneficiaries to become change-makers in their communities and on a global scale.
Our Founder, Abdul Muyeed Chowdhury, brought his wealth of experience and insight from his involvement in the Bangladeshi civil service. His roles in various government committees, including the Muyeed Committee, the 1993 Nurunnabi Committee, and the 2007 Regulatory Reform Commission, provided invaluable expertise in addressing administrative challenges and reforms within Bangladesh. With his extensive experience in various government committees and commissions, such as the Muyeed Committee, Nurunnabi Committee, and the Regulatory Reform Commission, Muyeed gained valuable insights into the intricacies of governance and public administration. These roles provided him with a firsthand understanding of the challenges faced by the nation, particularly in areas related to poverty, resource management, and economic disparities.
Muyeed’s vision for BYEAH was further enriched during his time as a Fulbright scholar in the United States, where he encountered diverse perspectives and innovative approaches to addressing societal challenges. This experience reinforced his belief in the potential for transformative change within the civil service sector of Bangladesh. With a deep understanding of the complexities, the commitment to address the root causes of poverty, and the desire to empower the nation’s youth and women, Abdul Muyeed Chowdhury founded BYEAH. The organization was established on the principles of mentorship, education, and skills development, with a mission to unlock untapped potential and create lasting, positive change in communities, ultimately working toward a brighter future for all in Bangladesh
