Hedayetullah Al Mamoon is a retired Senior Secretary who has held key positions in the Bangladesh government. He served as the Chairperson of Janata Bank and held various roles within different ministries. In 2008, he was appointed as the Additional Secretary to the Ministry of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs, a move that raised concerns within the Bangladesh Judicial Service Association due to his admin cadre background. Subsequently, in 2009, Mamoon assumed the position of Secretary at the Ministry of Culture and later became the Secretary at the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism in October 2009. His career continued to advance as he took on the role of Secretary at the Ministry of Information and later served as the Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce from 2014 to 28 February 2017. In addition to his government service, Mamoon is a member secretary of the Association of Former Secretaries and sits on the governing body of the Bangladesh Institute of Governance and Management.
