Turning Job Seekers into Job Creators in Bangladesh (TJS)

The TJS project in Bangladesh, supported by international funds, trained 375 young entrepreneurs, facilitated loans for 225, and improved 1,050 lives through mentorship and financial support, boosting employment and community growth.

The “Turning Job Seekers into Job Creators in Bangladesh (TJS)” project, funded by Youth Business International and Comic Relief, UK, under the Queen Young Leaders Programme, operated in Dhaka City Corporation. It empowered underserved young entrepreneurs with comprehensive support, including market assessment, training, mentoring, and access to finance. The project reached 1,500 young people, trained 375, and supported 225 in securing loans. With 100 volunteer mentors, it had a strong emphasis on monitoring and learning. Overall, the project fostered entrepreneurship, inspired job creation, and improved the quality of life for 1,050 disadvantaged youth, benefitting both individuals and the community.
