To be eligible for the SGI2 Challenge 2023, you must meet the following criteria:

• You are aged between 18-35
• Your business idea or existing business is based in Bangladesh.
• You are presenting an innovative solution to a social or environmental challenge.
• You’re committed to expanding your business knowledge, skills, and confidence.
• You want to network and be part of a cohort of other entrepreneurs.
• You can fully commit to the entire incubation program.

Innovation and Impact 

• Uniqueness and Creativity: How innovative and creative is the proposed solution to a social or environmental challenge?
• Potential for Impact: What is the potential positive impact of the solution on society and the environment?
• Scalability: How scalable is the solution, and how many people or communities can it potentially benefit?

Business Viability 

• Feasibility: Is the business idea or existing business financially viable and sustainable?
• Market Demand: Is there a demonstrated demand for the product or service being offered?
• Revenue Model: Does the business have a clear revenue generation model, and how does it plan to monetize its offerings?

Commitment and Dedication

• Entrepreneurial Drive: How passionate and committed is the team or entrepreneur behind the business?
• Willingness to Learn: Is the applicant open to expanding their business knowledge and skills through the incubation program?
• Time Commitment: Can the applicant fully commit to the entire duration of the incubation program?

Social and Environmental Focus 

• Alignment with Goals: How closely does the business align with the program’s focus on social and environmental impact?
• Clarity of Purpose: How well-defined and articulated is the social or environmental challenge the business aims to address?
• Sustainable Practices: Does the business demonstrate a commitment to sustainable practices and ethical considerations?

Financial and Funding Readiness 

• Financial Plan: Does the business have a clear financial plan that outlines its expenses, revenue projections, and funding needs?
• Funding Potential: How likely is the business to secure additional funding or investments, either through grants or debt-based funds?
• Efficient Resource Use: Does the business demonstrate effective use of resources to achieve its goals?

Networking and Collaboration 

• Collaborative Attitude: Is the applicant open to networking and collaboration with fellow entrepreneurs in the program?
• Ability to Learn from Others: Will the applicant be able to benefit from the diverse experiences and expertise within the cohort?
• Contribution to Community: How likely is the applicant to contribute positively to the program’s vibrant community?

The judging process will involve a panel of experts who are well-versed in entrepreneurship, social impact, and environmental sustainability. Each criterion will be scored on a predefined scale, and the total scores can be used to identify the most promising ventures that align with the program’s objectives.
